Dear Writers on Medium,
I read a lot here and I’m coming across a tsunami of pieces about writers who are utterly dejected, flat out giving up hope on writing.
It’s fucking tragic.
Enough where I have to write about it here.
As many stories there are about making bank on Medium, there are writers questioning their whole worth based on stats and earnings. And some really interesting writers too! I know they’re holding back. Ditching the miracle baby with the bathwater.
Their unique voice, unlike anyone on Earth, unread, unheard, unwritten because of money and it makes me feel fucking sad to read. Some random number is stopping people from sharing their beautiful words.
Tragic.
I don’t have a wave of views or reads myself but let me tell you, the people who do read my pieces consistently are my people.
And I’m beyond fucking grateful. There aren’t words to express my gratitude appropriately.
