Earth, Do Better
Return to yourself
A human sat on the rock in the woods. The tree beings shed their shame long ago, the leaves fall upon heavy feet, united.
Bare and naked, the human and the trees. Alone, yet together, all one.
Warm sun lit every molecule of their beings.
Another human walks by. They see another alone and naked. They see the tear stains upon cheeks.
They walk by.
The other human walks by, without a thought of compassion. Without a thought of kindness. Without a care for another.
Blurring past life.
The tree beings keep shedding their shame in pure beauty, leaves still fall upon the ground, united.
Yet, yet, we still can not? Tell me which of these beings is enlightened? Tell me which of these beings is peace?
If any human is alone and afraid, if safety allows, connect. There is not one human on this planet who has not also felt alone and afraid. This is what we share.
Connection changes us.
And like the leaves falling from each tree being, upon the wind, we begin together again.
We think ourselves one human on Earth. Remember, we are not only on Earth.
