The pressure we put on ourselves — as if laying under a door, and allowing our past and future selves the allowance to lay rocks upon the door of our present moment. I’d swear some of us have a compulsion for suffering, the “comfortability” of struggle. The familiar uncomfortable “comfortable.” Instead of the unknown of change and possibility.
